+**Parallel Projection** is conceptually a [[perspective projection]] where the station point is infinitely far away, so that all projection lines are parallels.
+The parallels emerge from the imagined three dimensional points and fall orthogonally onto the picture plane.
+The projected position of a point in the two dimensional plane is located where projection lines from the [[wp>Multiview_projection#Plan|plan]] and the [[wp>Multiview_projection#Elevation|elevation]] intersect.
